This was the last beach we went to Easter weekend. So much wildlife! We saw otters, seals, and a bunch of bald eagles! It was beafutiful!

Hole in the Wall at Rialto Beach – Easter Weekend

This was an amazing trip! We hiked about two miles down Rialto Beach and camped at a place called Hole-in-the-Wall. It was beautiful! Amazing sunset, bald eagles flying overhead, cool drift wood everywhere, and ocean waves crashing just a few yards from our campsite.

As the tide went out the next morning we got to explore the “Hole-in-the-Wall”. It was really neat!

At Home and Around Town in Port Angeles

As much as we love being back in Tulsa, looking at these pictures really makes me miss the cool weather of the Olympic Pennisula. I even miss the rain! :)

This was taken looking out the dining room window at our house. When it isn’t raining you can see the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and even Victoria, BC on clear days!

I took this picture with my phone. This is on the Olympic Discovery Trail where I used to run when we lived here. Miles and miles of waterfront trail! Definitely my favorite running trail ever!

Love this town! For sure our favorite location we’ve traveled to!

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival [Part 2]

These are of RoozenGaarde (the second tulip fields), the daffodil fields, time spent exploring downtown La Conner, and the boat ride home. The boat ride home didn’t quite go as planned….. Because of high winds and rough waters we couldn’t make it back to Port Angeles the way we came. The alternate route took us to Port Townsend and then we were bussed back to PA. It ended up adding several hours to the trip over all, but we got to see an AMAZING sunset! :-)

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival [Part 1]

So fun! We took a boat ride from Port Angeles to La Conner to see the tulip fields at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Rainbows, bald eagles, and tulips galore! :-) These pics are of the boat ride there and ”Tulip Town”, the first of the two tulip fields.

Weekend in Seattle [Part 1]

This was a while back…. but better late than never :) Clover went to the boarder for the first time in her life during this weekend, so it was a unique experience not having a dog stay at the hotel with us. We missed her a lot! But I think she had a good time, and I know we sure did!

We only spent two days in Seattle, so we were very busy fitting in as much as we could. We went to Beecher’s for the “world’s best macaroni-and-cheese”, the sculpture gardens, the ocean piers, the Seattle Art Museum, the Space Needle, Kerry Park, and the Public Market, of course, just to name a few. I really love this city! More pictures of our weekend in Seattle to come in the next post :)

Sol Duc Falls

This is a beautiful waterfall in Olympic National Park. It was very snowy, and icy in places, but totally worth the hike! The snow in the trees was melting so fast it looked like rain! This is one of the prettiest and most unique waterfalls we’ve been too. Loved it!!

We are happy to be back in Tulsa and getting settled! I started my new job last week, and Chris started classes today. We still have lots of WA photos to share though!
