Salt Creek Recreation Area

We’re in Port Angeles, Washington now!  This was our first “out-of-town” getaway.  It is about 20 minutes from our house.  The sun didn’t shine much and it was pretty chilly, but we were too absorbed in looking at all the sea creatures in the tide pools to care :-)

There’s a hermit crab in the middle of this anemone!

We got to see two Bald Eagles while we were there!

If there wasn’t a crab inside this shell I would have wanted to keep it!  So pretty!

There are several old WWII bunkers throughout this park.  Two are large enough to drive through!

Instead of the white tail deer we’re used to seeing in the midwest, these are black tail deer….and they are EVERYWHERE!

More photos to come soon!
